David P. Geggus
David Patrick Geggus is a British historian. He is considered an authority in History of Haiti and the History of Slavery, and currently teaches at University of Florida
Education[edit]
Geggus attended Oxford University for his undergraduate education and completed there a B.A. in Modern History in 1971. He then earned graduate degrees at University of London and Oxford and completed a D.Phil. at University of York in 1979.
Academic Career[edit]
Besides a couple of research appointments at Southampton University and Oxford, since 1983, Geggus has spent all of his academic career at University of Flordia where he now holds the position of Full Professor.
