Article Critique[edit]

I visited the Everett High School (Washington) page on Wikipedia and found three aspects of the page worth commenting on: parking permit fee, credits for future graduates, and an improvement on the organization of the Sports section.

Parking Permit Fee[edit]

Some missing information under the Layout section in the third paragraph about the student parking lot is the cost for the parking permit. People reading this wiki page should not be misleaded into thinking that the school has free parking for students. There is a minimal fee of $40.00.[1]

Credits for Future Graduates[edit]

On the Wikipedia page under Academics, it states that 22 credits are required for graduation. This is true, however, I found some more information telling us about the future of the number of credits required to graduate from Everett High School. Students who have already graduated or are about to graduate between the years of 2016-2020, the 22 credits to graduate applies. However, the student class of 2021 and beyond will require 24 credits to graduate. This increase in credit requirements is due to the need of knowledge and increased abilities to work alongside complex information and technology to be responsible and productive citizens in the 21st century.[2]

Improvement on the Organization of the Sports Section[edit]

To improve the wikipedia page under Sports, categorizing the list of sports based on the season of the sport as well as sexual orientation would improve the page’s organization. This is important to include because students that are interested in participating in athletic activities will immediately have the information they need such as what sport they would want to join, what season(s) they offer the sport, and whether or not their sexual orientation is fitted with the sport of that season.[3]
