I'm a male Australian writer. I've been an editor of Wikipedia since it had about 30,000 articles, and can't believe how much it's grown. I do as much Wikipedia editing as time allows and work on another wikia. I have great faith in the power of wikis to impart knowledge freely.

What tends to annoy me is those few Wikipedians who like to pick fights, and those who seem to know next to nothing about spelling, syntax, grammar and punctuation. Wikipedia suffers from lack of attention to the conventions of the English language and I seem to spend a lot of time doing fixes that shouldn't be necessary.
