AMG[edit]

HelpAustin Mikel Gurley (born August 17th, 1998), known professionally as AMG, is an American rapper[1], singer[2], songwriter[3].

AMG was born and raised in Alton, Illinois[4]. AMG had a rough upbringing which ultimately led him into finding his passion for music at six years old. Soon after AMG began sing and write original songs. Throughout the years AMG slowly built his confidence through live performances, music videos, and interviews. AMG uploaded his first song in 2014 and since has been thriving in his local community. AMG's last performance was at Java in St. Louis, Missouri[5] with hundreds in attendance. AMG has a song that will be dropping this coming fall with Nuski2Squad, who also was raised in Alton. AMG has used music as a therapy beginning at a young age and was inspired by many artists including Tupac[6], Lil Wayne[7], Dr. Dre[8], Michael Jackson[9], Eazy E[10], Eminem[11], Akon[12], Drake[13], Usher[14], Mario[15], Jacquees[16], Ne-Yo[17], Nelly[18], Chris Brown[19], The Weeknd[20], Joyner Lucas[21], Nf[22], Logic[23], Maroon Five[24], Yungeen Ace,[25] JayDaYoungan[26], Lil Durk[27], King Von[28], Fredo Bang[29], and more.
