Thelma is a 2024 American comedy film written and directed by Josh Margolin, starring June Squibb, Fred Hechinger, Richard Roundtree (in his final film role), Parker Posey, Clark Gregg, and Malcolm McDowell.[2] It premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival on January 18, 2024 and is scheduled to be released theatrically in the United States on June 21, 2024, by Magnolia Pictures.[3][4]

When 93-year-old Thelma Post is duped by a phone scammer, she embarks on a quest to take back what is hers.

Reception[edit]

On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 98% of 57 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 7.7/10. The website's critics consensus reads, "A stellar showcase for the talented June Squibb, Thelma avoids cheap laughs as it finds the lighter side of some serious issues."[6]
