Data promotes errors with publication history citations[edit]
This template is presented with no explanation of what the data represents. Many readers interpret the data to give the original publication date of the author's works. This is, of course, wrong. The template needs to be revised to indicate that it doesn't present the original publication information.
This leads to the more important question, what is the purpose of the template? And how will readers get original publication information?
