Enemy Territory: Quake Wars[edit]

Should Enemy_Territory:_Quake_Wars be added to the Wolfenstein series template? It is also a continuation of the story line of the Quake_(series) Woody 22:37, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't that game be part of the fourth generation? --Mika1h (talk) 13:03, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. It uses Id Tech 4. StevePrutz (talk) 14:30, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Is it defined by engine? I have always thought it was defined by date. Castle and Beyond are 80s and therefore first generation, while 3D and Spear of Destiny are 90s therefore second, Return To and Enemy Territory are early 00s therefore third, and RPG and Wolfenstein are late 00s therefore I would agree that the new shooter is fourth generation, and that this new mobile game is too. If you do it by engine, where does RPG fit? Or you could do it by developer, Muse (first), id (second), Gray Matter / Splash Damage (third) and now Raven and id (fourth) again. This could mean that RPG is a second generation Wolfenstein game if you think about it, even though design wise it is close to Return To (though like Doom RPG it sits in the middle between old and new). These new releases have made this complicated. Comrade Graham (talk) 11:55, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
