I really liked the old wording better. Just because I'm a Philosophy major does not necessarily mean that it is my favorite subject. Besides, it's boring. Userboxes are the one way Wikipedia has to express some personality. I'm changing the wording; if people disagree, we can argue here. -- Calion | Talk 15:23, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed this page while browsing recent changes. I don't know whether you're interested, but I made this a few days ago. -- Steel359 15:26, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have nothing against your wording (in fact, I like it), but you understand it's better to keep catalogs orderly. Your userbox made it to the catalog, just because of its name; so I had to change it, rather unwillingly. There are generic userboxes you can customize to tell whatever you want. I did that for a couple of custom userboxes stating my other interests/projects (and some traits of my character that explain today's revert ;-). I hope you understand.--- And yes, I am a philosophy teacher, Louie 19:12, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that it doesn't necessarily have to be your favourite subject, especially if you have more than one favourites, but Louie is right about it having to be similar to the other Subject Userboxes. But, I want to change the letters from "Phil" to "PHL" because it follows the other userboxes (e.g. Political Science [POL], Music [MUS], Physics [PHY], Psychology [PSY], etc.). Any objections to this?
Also, I made this a little while ago. I was looking for something philosophically significant to put in brackets and I was wondering if someone could suggest something better? Thanks. -- Taus33 07:34, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
