Template did not work -- repaired/conformed it to simplified URL formula. —20:43, July 4, 2006 Sisyphe

Problems[edit]

  • I can't get it to work all the time. Can anyone help? For example, 1 U.S.C. ch. 3.
  • Also, I can't get the subch to work either.—Markles 22:14, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Subchapters not working. -- davidz (talk) 00:00, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed subchapters (and chapters with letters in name). Zodon (talk) 06:04, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm not familiar with editing templates, so I'm afraid to do this myself, but...

Title 17 should link to Wikisource[edit]

s:United_States_Code/Title_17 is complete, referenced, and very useful thanks to links and anchors: this template should link to it. --Nemo 10:16, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chapters[edit]

Some titles use Chapters directly at the top level. Right now, this template only works for them, and the rest are disabled.

For the others, parts or subtitles are used and that causes an error in this template.

Works (uses chapters directly at the top level)[edit]

No chapters (repealed)[edit]

Doesn't work (uses parts or subtitles)[edit]

Template link error[edit]

If a chapter has a letter in it, for example 15 U.S.C. ch. 39a, it links to a 404 not found page. It's because the Cornell URL uses 39A rather than 39a, but it seems as though lowercase is standardized here on wikipedia.

It's gonna take me a while to figure out how the template works in order to fix it, so if you can figure it out how to make template allow for both upper and lowercase letters, that would be great.  Bait30  Talk? 05:54, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I can't figure it out at all. Can you do this GoldRingChip? Asking you since you seem to be the one who has made the most edits.  Bait30  Talk? 07:21, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe… but I can try. I'll let you know how it goes. —GoldRingChip 15:36, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Does it work now, Bait30? —GoldRingChip 15:51, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@GoldRingChip: it works now, thanks!  Bait30  Talk? 18:19, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
