They are different orders. That source is very out of date. Once all the raptors were included in a single order, Falconiformes, but it was found that falcons are not closely related to eagles, hawks and vultures. The latter were placed in the new order Accipitriformes. The New World Vultures sometimes get put in their own order. —  Jts1882 | talk  08:25, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Accipitriformes to Cathartiformes

New World Vultures order is now changed from Accipitriformes to Cathartiformes. see Urantowka et al.(2021) Genome Biol. Evol. 13(9) DOI:10.1093/gbe/evab193 page 4 shows a with updated information and molecular analysis 181.162.239.145 (talk) 15:47, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
