Detection of archive pages[edit]

I've added some detection of archive pages of the form {{TALKPAGENAME}}/Archive 1 to populate Category:Pages with comments and archives. These can be dealt with manually as appropriate. Are there any other common naming schemes for archive pages? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:49, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That's the only one I've seen for Talk:. I think it would be better to not subst the comments needing to go into archives at all with the bot. Adjusting Template:WPBannerMeta/comments would be the easiest way to split the article list (see sandbox). Please sync the sandbox or make a similar adjustment. (Category names aren't important as it is temporary.) — JJMC89(T·C) 02:21, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Okay I guess I was hoping you would be able to save me some work by wrapping the comment in the template and redirecting the subpage. If you'd prefer just not to touch these ones, I will respect that. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:29, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@MSGJ: You should be able to use {{subst:Substituted comment/subst}}, and then I can redirect /Comments with the bot. I hope there aren't many with archives. — JJMC89(T·C) 16:23, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Eek, 0 already. Not sure if I can deal with all these on my own ... — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:16, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Category:All articles with assessment comments now has about 17,000 pages, but I've seen reports that there are more than 25,000 of these subpages. I wonder where all the others are? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 12:11, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure, can look into a database scan after the category is empty. — JJMC89(T·C) 16:23, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Replace = signs[edit]

It is not ideal when section headings inside a collapsed box produce entries in the table of contents, so I have used some string manipulation to replace = signs with a nowiki version {{nw=}}. Is there a better way to do this? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:51, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That should be good. There could be a better way, but it's not important. — JJMC89(T·C) 02:21, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 14 October 2020[edit]

Not sure if the instructions are even needed (considering none of the "[show]" brethren do), but the arrow should use the proper Unicode character. Please change "Press [show] to view -->" to "Press [show] to view →". Thanks. Opencooper (talk) 08:42, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
