Technical 13: Why isn't this working?--Launchballer 09:33, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Launchballer, I don't see anything that shouldn't be working there. What output are you expecting, and why is this not meeting that expectation? Can you show me some examples? Technical 13 (talk) 12:50, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Technical 13: I've resubstituted the template. The ref name should have an extra bit, {{{1}}} filled in and the <includeonly>s shouldn't appear. They should be substituted.--Launchballer 01:14, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, so I've gotten the core layout to work... You are going to have issues with subst: because you will have to make an edit to subst the template and then an extra edit to subst the parameters... The only work arounds for this are to either include the date in the initial template call ({{Officialcharts|LILY ALLEN|{{subst:#time: j F Y}}}}) or save the page then edit it and save again (double edit). Part of the problem with the template was the need to call ref as a template instead of an xhtml tag (mw:Extension:Cite/Cite.php#Substitution and embedded parser functions). Anyways, I need to run to the store again before it closes as I'm getting a foot of snow tomorrow and want to be set... Laters! Technical 13 (talk) 02:25, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
