Notes[edit]

I'm troubled by the overlap of content with Template:Scottish energy and this. I certainly don't think we should have to maintain a list of nuclear plants on both templates, but this could be helpful example of how to organize 'by country' energy articles for big superpowers. Any good ideas out there? -Theanphibian (talkcontribs) 21:21, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at this page given the heading of Nuclear Power and the inclusion of Sellafield under reprocessing, should it not include the fuel enrichment and manufacture sites at Capenhurst and Springfields? Comments, if not I'll add it. Alistairbell 14:02, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

EDF proposals for Hinkley Point C & Sizewell C[edit]

Following the EDF proposals for Hinkley Point C & Sizewell C European Pressurized Reactor (EPR)s, when should these be added to the template?— Rod talk 16:14, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be inclined to wait until they are authorised (by NII?), or perhaps construction starts. Just mention them from their sister stations and in a new section (or table) of Nuclear power in the United Kingdom until then? I can envisage significant changes and cancellations prior to that. (e.g Oldbury has both AP1000 and EPR "proposed" so far.) Rwendland (talk) 18:05, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Flag[edit]

We don't normally use flags for decoration per WP:MOSFLAG. Is there a special reason why having a tiny Union Jack on this template will help our readers? --John (talk) 05:54, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest I don't feel that strongly about this either way. The flag does help to identify the template as a "national" template and in my view looks appealing. Also if one looks at, for example, national templates for China one will see that a high proportion have national flags. Rangoon11 (talk) 12:55, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if you don't feel that strongly about it, WP:MOSFLAG guidance should be followed as it seems to represent quite a strong historical consensus against using flags for decorations. If there are other templates that use flags this way they should also be adjusted. I haven't seen many others which still have flags. --John (talk) 16:36, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
