Include death/injury counts?[edit]

Since this is a significant change and would take some time to do, I thought it wise to ask for some second opinions before implementing it.

Do you guys think we should maybe update the template to include the counts of those injured/killed, to sorta make it more descriptive of each event in terms of severity?

For example, the template currently starts with "Grantsville, UT (Jan. 17) * Milwaukee, WI (Feb. 26)". Under this change it would look like "Grantsville, UT (4 dead, 1 injured, Jan. 17) * Milwaukee, WU (6 dead, Feb. 26)", and so on.

Your thoughts? Thanks for weighing in and enjoy spring :). SuperbowserX (talk) 17:36, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed
Gun violence is a contentious topic in the US, and if Wikipedia makes one small step forward by showing the casualties even on a Template, maybe it would make more people aware.
Additional suggestion: bold the most deadly shooting of every year. DemocracyDeprivationDisorder (talk) 03:41, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
