I request a modification and an addition to the template avoid confusion; make it say: "Distance traveled from Earth", and add parameter: "Distance traveled on destination body" (planet/moon/asteroid/etc). A further distinction can be: "Distance from Earth upon arrival". Distance traveled (from Earth) will probably always be greater than distance from Earth upon arrival. (For example, Perseverance rover traveled 292 million miles to reach Mars, which itself was only 130 million miles from Earth when the rover arrived.) DonFB (talk) 06:54, 20 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
