Size[edit]

The illustrations in this table need to be smaller, as they unbalance articles in which they appear. See Template:UK police rank insignia. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:50, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

With respect, that all depends (as with almost all Wikipedia output) on the web browser you're using, and your screen resolution. They appear just fine on my screen! Which is probably why they've been included without problem in the article for several years now. However, feel free to edit them down in size if you think that will help. That's very odd, because I've tried IE, Firefox and Google Chrome and the table appears too large on all three. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:32, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I regularly use Firefox and Safari, with no problems on either. I've also just checked on my wife's computer (she has IE as her browser) and it looks fine there too. I don't doubt that you're seeing something different, but this is the nature of the internet - there are so many variables, not least screen size, and resolution. All websites look odd on my mother's computer, because she has the resolution set in a bizarre manner which seems to compensate for her poor eyesight. However, as I said above, if you think its a problem just change the size of the graphics. When I first made them I set a common size for all the images, but I've no problem if you want to reduce the pix. Timothy Titus Talk To TT 14:17, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
