Island information in template[edit]

The template should not have information that would require citation (such as ownership, etc). That information should be put on the pages for individual islands or for the islands as a whole, but not the template. In this way we avoid the messy problem of having to embed references into a template, and otherwise giving people a reason to frequently update templates. -Harmil 15:32, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I mostly agree. I like the smaller version, but I'm also a fan of having some description to give the reader context as in Template:Steels. But I like the change you made. —Ben FrantzDale 16:11, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If there were some basic defining facts that could be placed next to each island, that would potentially make sense, but they're really just islands. Some distinction between public and private might be useful, but I'm not sure. -Harmil 16:15, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
