Remove unnecessary space[edit]

Current: <!-- Write your request ABOVE this line and do not remove the tildes and curly brackets below. --> }} ~~~~

Proposed: <!-- Write your request ABOVE this line and do not remove the tildes and curly brackets below. --> }} ~~~~

The space before the four tildes should be removed and replaced with " " as it produces an unnecessary box and disrupts the formatting of the signature whenever someone doesn't enter text above the line, which is done by a LOT of new editors. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 03:25, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requested idea :P[edit]

Can we add to the increase/decrease responses, the protecting Admin into the response? Something like: "Not done: requests for decreases to the page protection level should be directed to the protecting admin (Admin) or to Wikipedia:Requests for page protection"... It seems unlikely for most requested edits, the user (probably newbie), doesn't know how to lookup the protecting Admin. - FlightTime (open channel) 18:56, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: I think you may be looking for a change to User:Jackmcbarn/editProtectedHelper.js, the helper script that displays edit requests in a modified form. – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:00, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jonesey95: Thank you, You're correct, I didn't realize. - FlightTime (open channel) 00:07, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bug: broken heading/edit summary on redlink(?) talk pages[edit]

See e.g. Template talk:Taxonomy/Streptophyta, Template talk:Taxonomy/Faboideae, Template talk:Taxonomy/Amygdaloideae. I'm not sure but this might happen with other templates as well: [1] 85.23.79.231 (talk) 17:48, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Way to long[edit]

Too much space!

Not sure if this has been broken for a while, but this template is appearing very long instead of wide, making those requesting an edit barely able to see the edit area without having to scroll. — xaosflux Talk 01:43, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Pppery: have you worked on this lately, or may have some suggestions? — xaosflux Talk 01:44, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure why I was pinged here, since I haven't to my knowledge done anything related to semi-protected edit requests in ages, but Special:Diff/1074406884 seems to have fixed it. * Pppery * it has begun... 03:12, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Pppery hmmm, thank you, seems a little bit better, but still problematic. Don't worry about more follow up if you aren't interested. In general, the user story is: "This notice is so large, that it hides the actual edit window". — xaosflux Talk 19:08, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Template:Col-float defaults to 30em, which, for me/my font size, in combination with the 80% width and the (unnecessary?) blue icon, means that I see everything in a single column. Maybe make it wider than 80%, and lose the blue dot? Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:58, 28 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Where did it go?[edit]

Why doesn't this template appear at the top of the Template:Edit semi-protected page? - Butwhatdoiknow (talk) 16:22, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Inter Miami CF, Florida Panthers, Miami Hurricanes Football[edit]

they need to be semi protected permanently 2601:589:4984:3C00:94E9:B808:5E95:29C1 (talk) 01:56, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
