Notes[edit]

The reason why it starts at 2014 is because the only Mississippi Dept. of Education list of school district closures is from that year https://www.mdek12.org/sites/default/files/Offices/MDE/SDC/Mississippi-School-District-Consolidations-November-2018.pdf

It's related to mandated consolidations required under state law. I included future ones since the state requires them to happen under the law, and the document cites which state statutes apply to each consolidation. As they are indeed planned as indicated in reliable sources (primary and secondary) this does not violate WP:CRYSTAL.

I do not know if there was ever a previous wave of school district consolidations, but if there was I imagine this would be much bigger. WhisperToMe (talk) 00:05, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
