As far as I can find out, the flag labeled '1907' has never existed. Are there any sources? It looks to me like this is what somebody thinks should have been the flag to be consistant with other British colonies. It should probably not appear here. Jackie2541 (talk) 18:03, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, that flag is unhistorical and should not be here. Indefatigable (talk) 17:40, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove the hypothetical flag by removing the flag alias-1907 and var2 lines. Thanks, 117Avenue (talk) 06:04, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Since Alberta did not have a flag until 1968, it would be appropriate to use a Canadian flag in articles on historical subjects, such as Alberta general election, 1905. So I request this be added to the template.
| flag alias-1905 = Flag of Canada-1868-Red.svg
| flag alias-1921 = Flag of Canada 1921.svg
| flag alias-1957 = Canadian Red Ensign.svg
