- No. The Manual of Style's broad-brush, one-size-fits-all rules are very unhelpful and have historically been disregarded in law case-list templates. I certainly do not think it is appropriate to remove the external links. I have restored the stable version. How you, WilliamJE, can resolve this[edit]
In your capacity as the expert on our manual of style, you can bring this cycle to a permanent end by taking the following steps:
- Go to our article on Compulsory purchase in England and Wales.
- Find wherever in the article where external links are allowed, per the MOS.
- Insert the external links there.
- Then, and only then, remove them from this template.

- But I haven't read the manual of style, and I won't. You're the one who cares about it, not me. I'm content for you to move those external links to whatever place you think is appropriate provided the reader can find them. But that's not your behaviour. For the past several years your behaviour has been to remove the external links. Then I put them somewhere else and you remove them again.
I find it incredibly frustrating that you don't understand how disruptive this is.
If they're in the wrong place, you may move them, or (much preferably) you can just bugger off and do something else, but you absolutely may not remove them and leave the article less informative. Capsice?—S Marshall T/C 21:44, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
- Following NAV isn't disruptive. You're being rude and violating CIVIL by telling me to bugger off. I didn't hear it isn't an excuse for what you're doing. It's been quoted, been pointed to multiple times. You couldn't even take this discussion to somewhere where someone else would chime in. Nobody comes to template talk pages.
