This is a documentation subpage for Template:U.S. library associations.
It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This is a template for Library associations in the United States. It currently has four categories:

National - this is any association that is not already a sub-association of the American Library Association (which has its own template)
State - associations for the United States and territories
Regional - associations that cover regions larger than one state
Defunct - associations that uses to exist but no longer exist.

Currently this template does not cover library consortia (i.e. associations that are joined by only libraries and not individual people) or international library associations, even ones headquartered in the United States.
