Usage[edit]

This message should be placed only on article talk pages at the head of the talk page with other notices for articles which use shortened footnotes with an unknown rationale. The article is added to the hidden maintenance category Category:Articles with unknown sfn style for tracking purposes.

To use this template, add this code to an article’s talk page:

Where sources is the name of the section or sections where full citations are listed. The default is Cited works.

This article uses shortened footnotes multiple times but with a rationale that is difficult to understand. Anyone who can describe the rationale for which citations are included in the Cited sources section, please comment below. This information would be helpful because Wikipedia's Citing sources guidelines recommend that articles have a single citation style applied consistently, but editors cannot re-establish consistency if the style is unknown. When it is clear what the intended style for footnotes is, a notice on the talk page stating the intended style will assist editors seeking to maintain high standards for Wikipedia's citations. Expiration[edit]

When tracking of the discussion is no longer needed, adding the expired=yes parameter will remove the article from the tracking category.
