Top Gear France[edit]

Created by Anameofmyveryown (talk). Self-nominated at 23:27, 6 April 2015 (UTC).

  • New enough, long enough, and free of any detectable policy issues (the article is neutral, apparently well referenced, and free of any noticeable copyright issues). Unfortunately, I am not able to speak French, so I am accepting nine of the ten sources in good faith. The hook and two alternates are all short enough and properly cited, although the main hook is indirectly cited; nowhere in the text of the article are all three of the presenters explicitly mentioned as being French, even though the actual references (seem to) support this (with phrases like "à la française" and "made in France"). All of the proposed hooks are interesting, but I think the first choice ("that the presenters of the new series of Top Gear are all French?") is the best, as it plays with anglophone expectations about the original British show Top Gear and its presenters. This appears to be Anameofmyveryown's first DYK nomination (please correct me if I am wrong), so I don't think that QPQ applies in this case. Once again, accepting the French-language sources in good faith, I think that this article is good to go. Nice work! Michael Barera (talk) 01:38, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
