Theresa Andrews[edit]

  • ALT1:... that American swimmer Theresa Andrews gave her first Olympic gold medal to her brother for his courage after being paralyzed in a car accident?

Improved to Good Article status by Dirtlawyer1 (talk). Self-nominated at 19:47, 11 July 2015 (UTC).

  • @Dirtlawyer1: Article promoted to GA status July 9 and is long enough and complies with applicable policies on citations and absence of copyvio, plagiarism, etc. Hooks are short (barely as to the main hook at 200 characters) and interesting enough. However, DYK eligibility criteria 3 states: " The fact(s) mentioned in the hook must be cited in the article." Here, parts of both hooks (the discussion of Phelps and Schmitt in the main hook and the reference to a car accident in the alt 1 hook) are not set forth in the article. Also, a QPQ review is needed. If those points are remedies, this will be good to go. Cbl62 (talk) 20:11, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
  • @Cbl62: I have tweaked the article text and proposed hooks to address the concerns you raised above. I will perform the QPQ review as soon as I can. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 00:29, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
  • Both hooks now look fine. Will be good to go once the QPQ is in place. Cbl62 (talk) 02:07, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
  • QPQ and necessary tweaks done. Good to go. Cbl62 (talk) 22:21, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
