  • New article is long enough, good sources, no copyvio or plagiarism concerns, QPQ not required. Hook is supported by cited references, but she broke the points record that stood for almost 30 years; that might be more notable. What do you think? Mgrē@sŏn 20:50, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
Yes, so here's an alternative:
ALT1: ... that in 2013 Sugar Rodgers (pictured on the left) broke the individual record for most points scored at Georgetown University, set in 1982 by Sleepy Floyd?
But I think that's just way more cumbersome. I only mentioned Patrick Ewing and Sleepy Floyd in the hook because they're names that casual basketball fans might recognize, and I think what's catchy about the article is that a female player bested the All-Star men's players.-- Patrick, oѺ 21:41, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
Whichever hook you go with, please add "American basketball player" to provide context. TwilligToves (talk) 10:22, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
You make a valid point; how about:
ALT2: ... that American basketball player Sugar Rodgers (pictured on the left) scored more points (2,518) at Georgetown University than either Patrick Ewing or 1982 record holder Sleepy Floyd?
Sounds good to me!-- Patrick, oѺ 14:34, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
  • OK, let's go with ALT2. IMHO, this nomination is approved. Mgrē@sŏn 14:30, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
  • Note: I added the pictured to the hooks, but I would recommend not using the image, which pictures the subject's back. MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 18:45, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
