Siegfried Fietz[edit]

  • Reviewed: Architecture of Seattle
  • Comment: We could also say that his "swinging" "light" melody entered hymnals, or (as the source says) that generations of guitarists would prefer his melody (there are 70 others).

Created by Gerda Arendt (talk). Self-nominated at 16:53, 17 October 2017 (UTC).

  • Article is new enough (created 10 October, nominated 17 October), long enough (1959 characters), neutrally worded, and cited inline. The hook is short enough and formatted correctly. The picture is free, of good quality, looks good at a small size, used in the article, and relevant to the hook.
Issues: That is wrote the music for "Von guten Mächten" is cited in the article but the rest of the hook is not. There is no mention in the article of him writing 3000 melodies nor retiring at 70; one of the sources does say he wrote more than 4000 songs.
Therefore, this cannot pass as it is. Either references need to be found and details added to the article about the rest of the hook, or the hook needs to be trimmed and turned into something solely about his setting of "Von guten Mächten". Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 18:28, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
I added two refs. One says 3000 already age 65. You are right about one for 4000, but I thought only one, and even 1000 would be impressive for me ;) - How is this:
ALT1: ... that Siegfried Fietz (pictured) wrote a popular melody for "Von guten Mächten", one of more than 3000 song melodies he composed? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:01, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for your changes. 3000 is impressive enough! ALT1 is fine (formatted correctly, short enough, cited in the article and interesting). AGF as I don't speak German and have been using google translate. QPQ is in process. This is good to go. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 22:16, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
