  • Article has been five times expanded since April 7, 2022. We are waiting on QPQ (this is your fifteenth dyk). Hook ALT0 is referenced and interesting. The first paragraph of the career section is not cited. I do wonder if the pedigree should be referenced? I also wonder if a non-free picture can be added - just as we do for deceased people. I do not find copyright violations and the article is neutral. Bruxton (talk) 22:56, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
    Thank you Bruxton, I will get on it. This is very nice. I am working on my QPQ now. I will get these things done. I agree the pedigree should be sourced; I usually do. I must have lost that citation when doing some editing so will get that back. I am not sure it has been long enough for a fair use rationale for his picture, but I know who to ask. It would be nice; he was a beautiful horse. Thanks!

  • @Dawnleelynn: Looks like the page is in order now, thanks for the rapid fixes. No notification is needed. But they may appreciate a note on their talk page in case they are not watching the page. I have been reading the requirements for a non-free photo, and while it does not specifically address animaals, if we apply the rationale to people: subject is deceased so no free photo can be created, and none are known to exist. I searched Flickr and other places and found no free photos. It seems like the non-free rationale would be ok (Just uploaded locally and just for the article not for the DYK). If I am incorrect I hope someone tells me before I plow forward. Bruxton (talk) 14:27, 9 April 2022 (UTC)

    • Theleekycauldron Foal is technically correct but if more people will understand children better, I'm fine with it. They will be exposed to foal if they click through to the article. Up to Bruxton. dawnleelynn(talk) 22:56, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
      • @Dawnleelynn: It's not necessarily about accessibility as much as it is about quirk. In the last slot of every set, the hook will be a little more wacky, and sometimes it does that by playing with words a little. See, for example, this hook I wrote for Pronunciation of GIF (nom): "did you know that it's pronounced "gif", not "gif"?" fun stuff like that. Giving a name without context and correctly pointing out that they have 1,300 children is pretty wacky (we call them "quirky hooks"), which I enjoy. Some people don't like them and don't write them; if that's you, that's totally cool. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/they) 23:01, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
