Polydora ciliata[edit]

  • ... that a marine organism described in 1971 as a new species of gastrotrich, was identified later as the larva of a bristleworm, probably Polydora ciliata? Source: "The planktonic larva, Metadasydytes quadrimaculatus Roszczak, 1971, a genus and species from Vistula Lagoon, Baltic coast of Poland, and described as a gastrotrich, is clearly a spionid larva. Hummon (2008: 115) refers it to Polydora ciliata, but notes the identification to that species is not certain."

  • Date, size, hook, copyvio spotcheck, all fine. I did find that Roszczak's (Polish scholar) first name was Roch (took quite a while, source [1]). More on him: [2]. Nothing needs to be done, I've added that info to the article. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:24, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
