Piscicola geometra[edit]

  • ... that the gut of Piscicola geometra harbours symbiotic bacteria which help the leech to digest fish blood? Source: "Numerous microorganisms were observed in the mycetome" "the gut bacteria are responsible for much of the leech's digestion of blood.")

  • @Cwmhiraeth:, article is new enough, long enough, within policy. Hook meets formatting guidelines, source is accepted in good faith. QPQ done. I think description section should be merged into lead (or another section if possible) if there is less scope for expansion. Article is good enough for DYK. Pratyush (talk) 08:01, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
@PratyushSinha101: I agree that the description section is a bit short but, if it is merged into the lead, there will be no contents box, and I think the contents box improves the appearance of the article. Someone else may have access to off-line sources with a description, but in reality, one species of leech looks superficially very like another. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:03, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
  • I didn't think about the contents box, I do believe it improves the appearance of the article. Pratyush (talk) 13:25, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
