Article passes length, longevity and other criteria. The DYK hook is the appropriate length. However, the DYK hook statement that he studied and taught at the Academy is not footnoted in the article. The German language source Ebner & Seubert used elsewhere in the article does substantiate this, so it can be easily remedied. Also I'm not sure this image works -- the subject is quite tiny in the thumbnail used. — Brianhe (talk) 00:42, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

It's a fine point, but may be important when giving credit, the German source says he created the model of the statue. Not sure if I'm translating this 100% correctly or how important it may be to distinguish. Can we get a second opinion from someone more up to speed on art? Brianhe (talk) 17:15, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

For a bronze statue you would expect the artist to model it in clay (or whatever) & foundry specialists to cast it. I haven't seen the German & wouldn't comment on it but this should not be an issue. Johnbod (talk) 22:37, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

What does the source say about this one:

It supports what three German Wikipedia articles say, unfortunately without sources, example Liste Münchner Denkmäler. - If we returned to the original hook, there are better pictures on Commons, but not saying if of Castor or Pollux. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:24, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

(←) Going back to the original Castor and Pollux statue sounds like a good plan. You could even crop the original image, since it's at fairly high resolution, and use it. I think if cropped, the subjects would be much more recognizable in the thumbnail. — Brianhe (talk) 21:49, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
