Malcolm Orme Little[edit]

Created by Hamish59 (talk). Nominated by Matty.007 (talk) at 12:42, 23 February 2014 (UTC).

  • The following has been checked in this review by EagerToddler39
  • QPQ not needed as this is not a self-nom
  • Article new enough at time of nomination and long enough at 3417 characters
  • Ran all online sources through duplication detector. Found and corrected only one instance of close paraphrasing. All paragraphs cited inline. Article appears to be written in a neutral tone. Disambiguation and external link verification were ok.
  • Hook is interesting and length is adequate. However the hook is not completely verifiable and his third retirement lacks an inline citation. It was flagged with a citation needed tag. Perhaps footnote [33] could be used here but I don't believe it is adequate.
  • Kindly insert inline citation to verify his third retirement. EagerToddler39 (talk) 14:55, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
  • When I nominated, I thought it was covered by WP:CALC. Thanks, Matty.007 15:00, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
  • My concern is that retirement number three is not verified. Retirement one and two are ok but there is no inline citation that confirms retirement number three thus invoking WP:CALC is not relevant to the area of concern that I raised. EagerToddler39 (talk) 15:12, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
  • Ref number 31 gives his retirement I think. Thanks, Matty.007 18:29, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

I have only done one DYK in the past - Manfred von Richthofen (general). I cannot find a direct cite for him retiring three times.

Hamish59 (talk) 21:57, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

  • Third retirement now cited Jim Sweeney (talk) 22:09, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
Everything is in order now. Ok with the original hook. EagerToddler39 (talk) 00:19, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
