Overall: @Flibirigit Thank you for a great piece of work. The article is new (created on January 7), long enough (4433 characters (765 words) "readable prose size"), nicely sourced, and free of plagiarism. Can you suggest a catchier hook? RV (talk) 07:30, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

  • I would probably agree, Flibirigit, that RV's suggestion is a good idea. Could you provide a hook here? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 09:23, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
I proposed what I feel is the most interesting part of Leinonen's career. Establishing one hall of fame is a difficult task, and doing so for the world is even more difficult. Please provide more detailed and constructive feedback as to why that hook is not interesting, and what is interesting in the article. Pinging me on my own nomination is not necessary. It is difficult, sure, but being neat or impressive doesn't always translate smoothly to being hooky. There are some DYKs you read and just think "hmm, cool!", and go on with your day, and those aren't great. It's the ones you read and want to know more about that are actual hooks – designed to catch you and pull you in. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 02:58, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
The feedback above is not helpful. Other comments are welcome. Flibirigit (talk) 03:04, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
Approving. I feel that theleekycauldron is being too picky. A hook being "hmm, cool!" is good enough and that alone might lead to more clicks. SL93 (talk) 03:07, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
You said "but being neat or impressive doesn't always translate smoothly to being hooky", which means that it has a chance of being hooky. I'm not sure how much of you denying certain hooks is based on what readers tend to like and how much is what you personally don't like. I wonder that because you only referred to yourself at Template:Did you know nominations/Old-Fashioned Cupcake. If it is a cool fact (this nomination) or a neat fact (the other nomination), it's fine. SL93 (talk) 03:30, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
