Wood at Harrow
- ... that when Wood (pictured) was appointed as head master of Harrow School, he was by far the oldest to be appointed since the retirement of Thackeray in 1760?

These two articles are new enough and long enough. The image is in the public domain, the hook facts are cited inline, the articles are neutral and I detected no copyright issues. Two QPQs have been done. I have changed the word "death" in the hook to "retirement" as being more appropriate. @Moonraker: Could you add a citation for their dates of birth to avoid this being tagged "citation needed". - Cwmhiraeth, that's done for Thackeray. For Wood, I can't do better than the citation from Alumni Oxonienses that he was eighteen in April 1861, so I have made his date of birth "c. 1842". Moonraker (talk) 19:40, 22 May 2019 (UTC)
