- ... that John Schrank (pictured) followed a former US president for 24 days before shooting him? Source: JOHN SCHRANK, a plumb and prosperous retired saloonkeeper, was the would-be assassin. His intended , victim: 53-year-old ex-President Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt, the tough, dynamic Progressive Party candidate who was seeking his third term as President of the United States. For 24 days their cat-and-mouse game continued as Roosevelt stumped the South and Middle West. In Chattanooga, Schrank came within 10 feet of the candidate and lost his nerve.

Personally a big fan of ALT1, other than that the article seems to meet every criteria. Earwig picks up quotes, unsurprisingly, so I don't believe there's any issue there. From my somewhat unexperienced eye, I can say great work. CommissarDoggoTalk? 20:34, 12 February 2024 (UTC)
