Jo Walker-Meador

Created/expanded by Miller17CU94 (talk). Self-nominated at 21:41, 3 November 2019 (UTC).

  • This is a comment rather than a review, but I wonder if a better hook could be proposed. Right now the hook lacks context about Walker-Meador's life, or her involvement in said hall of fame (the hook doesn't even mention it by name!). The hook has potential, but it could still be improved. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:48, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
  • Another hook added per request. Chris (talk) 23:18, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
ALT1 has potential, but it's over the 200 character limit and thus needs to be trimmed. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 23:49, 6 November 2019 (UTC)

I guess ALT2 works, but it doesn't mention the Hall of Fame anymore. As I don't really think these hooks are that spectacular (though are still acceptable for DYK purposes), I'll leave reviewing this to another editor and asking for second opinions. @Miller17CU94: @Narutolovehinata5: Thought I should give you both a heads up. I can't review this article as I originally had a draft on her from last year and didn't end up finishing it. I've redirected my draft to this article, and the only thing I've added was an additional hall of fame induction. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 03:16, 13 November 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for letting us know MrLinkinPark333 (talk). I was hoping this would have made a DYK given the Country Music Association Awards are on tonight. I tried. Chris (talk) 23:25, 13 November 2019 (UTC)
  • Approved for original hook (ALT0). I don't find it particularly problematic for DYK. After all, it's never been necessary to give context for everything, and a bit of teasing should be fine. ALT1 is too long. Fan Fair needs to be mentioned in the article body for ALT2 to be passed. (Personally, I think something related to the Minnie Pearl quote would make for a good hook.) Article is new and long enough, with no outstanding issues. Facts verified. QPQ done. I've done some copyediting. --Paul_012 (talk) 21:36, 21 November 2019 (UTC)
  • Added the Fan Fair part to the CMA Work section just now. Chris (talk) 15:52, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
  • ALT2 also approved. --Paul_012 (talk) 16:12, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
