Hasdrubal, son of Hanno

  • ... that of the four set piece land battles during the 23 years of the First Punic War, Hasdrubal took part in three as a general? Source: Goldsworthy, Adrian (2006). The Fall of Carthage: The Punic Wars 265–146 BC. London: Phoenix. ISBN 978-0-304-36642-2, pp. 81, 85, 88, 93–94.

  • New enough, long enough, neutrally written, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen in online sources. I see his 3 battles mentioned witn inline cites, but this sentence needs a cite to confirm there were four set piece battles: Panormus was the fourth and final set piece battle of the war. Hi Yoninah, I was relying on "Only four set piece land battles took place during the 23 years of the war; Hasdrubal took part as a general in three of them.[1]" from "Name", but that sentence is now cited. And thanks for pointing out that I had missed citing it! Gog the Mild (talk) 12:25, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
