Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit, BWV 106[edit]

Church Divi Blasii
  • ... that the text for Bach's early Actus tragicus, using Bible verses and three hymns, is similar to the sermon held at the funeral of a former mayor of Mühlhausen (church pictured)?

Improved to Good Article status by Gerda Arendt (talk). Self-nominated at 10:45, 26 March 2016 (UTC).

  • Well-written, well-referenced, the usual thorough job. Nominated soon after becoming GA & QPQ done. Hook is referenced, image is suitably licensed but does not really fit in this context. I would also suggest a small rephrasing, namely adding "cantata" after "early", otherwise it may be understood that there was also a later Actus tragicus. Other than that, it looks good to go.
