Gilbert Heathcote (Royal Navy officer)[edit]

Captain Gilbert Heathcote

Created by Benea (talk). Self nominated at 23:52, 21 August 2014 (UTC).

Let me try properly reviewing this:

  • There is already to be a QPQ for this
  • Done within a 5-day range
  • Has more than 1,500 characters of readable prose
  • Is a new article
  • There appears to be sufficient sourcing for every paragraph
  • Hook is stated and apparently appropriately sourced
  • Apparently no copyvio
  • Apparently no other problems

Thus, it appears that this DYK? nomination is already good to go right now! Great job! Hopefully I have reviewed this DYK? nomination correctly. Futurist110 (talk) 03:13, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

  • Didn't they teach good posture in those days? EEng (talk) 23:29, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
    • It does rather catch your eye as you walk into the gallery. As my friend commented, 'ah, here's someone thrusting their crotch at us.' Benea (talk) 00:09, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
It's amazing how notions of propriety vary with time and place. See commons:Category:Codpieces. EEng (talk) 00:36, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
