Da'watul Haq

  • ... that Wahiduzzaman Kairanawi founded Da'watul Haq, marking it as the first-ever Arabic magazine of Darul Uloom Deoband? Source: Rahman, Abdur (2018). • More of a comment than a review, but the currently-proposed hook seems to be reliant on specialist knowledge and thus may not be considered interesting by a wide audience. @Owais Al Qarni: Can you please propose additional hooks? Hello @Narutolovehinata5:, I am relatively new to DYK. I don't understand your remark, "More of a comment than a review." Can you provide more guidance on the type of sentence required for the task?–Owais Al Qarni (talk) 05:52, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
It simply means I am commenting on the hook you proposed without actually reviewing the nomination. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 08:40, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
ALT1: that Darul Uloom Deoband's first step into Arabic journalism began with Da'watul Haq? Source: Rahman, Abdur (2018). "Contributions Of The Scholars Of Darul Uloom Deoband To The Development Of Arabic Journalism In India". Aldebal (in Arabic). 3 (1): 76. ISSN 2415-5500.
@Narutolovehinata5: What about ALT1?–Owais Al Qarni (talk) 09:37, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
It has the same issue: unless the reader is familiar with Darul Uloom Deoband, the hook still has the issue of not being interesting to broad audiences. Considering you're new to DYK, I understand how things can seem difficult, admittedly DYK has quite a learning curve. I wonder if an editor like Buidhe might be able to assist here further or perhaps propose hooks to show how it's done. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 09:50, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
I don't think ALT1a is that hooky either. Perhaps a hook about the actual content of the magazine might work? Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 13:12, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
No QPQ provided despite the nominator being pinged many times, so I am rejecting this nomination. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 14:45, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
