• ... that Edan Lepucki's first novel California became one of its publisher's most preordered debut titles after being subject to the "Colbert Bump" during a dispute between Stephen Colbert and Amazon.com?

• New enough, long enough, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. It appears that this is the nominator's 5th DYK nom (correct me if I'm wrong), so no QPQ needed. However, the hook could be shorter and jazzier. (Where's EEng when you need him?) Here's one idea:
