Usage[edit]

This template's syntax is as follows:

An explanation of each parameter:

~~~~~ — Produces a timestamp.
nominator — The one who nominated the article for DYK.
date — The date on which the article was created/expanded
status — The status of the DYK review. A message indicating the status will appear near the top of the article talk page. Statuses include:
- <blank>: the article has not been reviewed yet
- review: the article is in the process of being reviewed
- on hold: the reviewer has encountered issues with the article and is prescribing an amount of time for them to be corrected
- 2nd opinion: the reviewer is in search of a second opinion
- approved: the nomination has been approved
- current: the DYK entry is currently on the main page
- past: the entry was on the main page at mainpagedate
