This template is used on approximately 3,300 pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them.

This citation template produces formatted references to the Parliament of New South Wales's "members" biographical database, which contains information on all New South Wales members of parliament, including former members.

Usage[edit]

Copy a blank version to use. Almost all parameter names are supported only in lower case (some initialisms, such as |isbn= have upper-case aliases like |ISBN=, which are acceptable for use). Use the "|" (pipe) character between each parameter. Unused parameters may be deleted to avoid clutter in the edit window. Some samples on this documentation page may include the current date. If the date is not current, then purge the page.

Required parameters:

id: "Member id", corresponds to the last parameter found in the URL of the database entry. https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/members/Pages/Member-details.aspx?pk=#### For example, for the entry on Dominic Perrottet, the "id" is 66.
name: The name of the member. Consider using the form given in the relevant database entry. For example, for the entry on Sir Henry Parkes, the name in the entry is given as "Sir Henry Parkes (1815 - 1896)".

Optional parameters:

former: Yes indicates a former member - omit for current members.
access-date: The date when the entry was accessed.
