{{Cite GREC}} helps linking to the online version of Gran Enciclopèdia Catalana (Great Catalan Encyclopedia). It is a useful resource for citations in articles about the Catalan language and Catalan countries.

Usage

Find the article in the encyclopedia. The main entry point is http://www.enciclopedia.cat. The "Enciclopèdia" button searches for the topic in the Catalan language.

After you found the article you searched for, find the NDCHEC part of the URL. For example, the article on Pompeu Fabra is located at this URL:

• https://www.enciclopedia.cat/gran-enciclopedia-catalana/pompeu-fabra-i-poch

The alphabetic identifier is "pompeu-fabra-i-poch". So the template must be used like this:

• {{Cite GREC|pompeu-fabra-i-poch|title=Pompeu Fabra i Poch}}

If the |title= parameter is not specified, the title of the article is used.

Tracking categories

• Category:Cite GREC template with invalid identifier (0) – Until 2022, the encyclopedia used numeric identifiers for its articles. Articles using the obsolete |NDCHEC= parameter should be updated to use the unnamed first parameter |1= with an alphabetic identifier. Go to the Encylopedia and search for a topic, then copy the identifier from the URL. Here is an example edit.
