Usage[edit]
If a single category:
- {{subst:Cfm|ProposedName}}
- ProposedName is the category name you desire to merge this into. It must already exist; if it does not, you should use {{cfr}} to rename.
If a group of similar categories or a category and its subcategories, use an umbrella nomination:
{{subst:Cfm|ProposedName|SectionName}}
- ProposedName is the desired replacement name for the category.
- SectionName is the joint discussion section. It may be a category name, or any other unique name that reflects the nominations.
- Please include "Cfm" in the edit summary, and don't mark the edit as minor.
- To merge into 2 targets, please use
{{subst:cfm-double|ProposedName1|ProposedName2}}(or{{subst:cfm-double|ProposedName1|ProposedName2|SectionName}}as stated above). - To merge into 3 or more targets, use either template, and just add more targets after listing the nomination in the next step.
