This template goes at the top of talk pages for AN archives. It uses {{Section sizes}} to automatically generate a table of section sizes for the attached Administrators' noticeboard archive page. See it in action, for example, at Wikipedia talk:Administrators' noticeboard/Archive123.

To specify the archive number, it uses the following code to strip it from {{PAGENAME}}:

{{#invoke:string|sub|{{#titleparts:{{PAGENAME}}}}|36}}

That is to say, it uses the string functions extension to take a string starting from the 36th position.

If you are trying to adapt this template to work on something else, you'll need to change the string sub point as needed.
