Requested move[edit]

I propose renaming this article "Zale (band)," and redirecting "Zale" to "Zale Corporation," with a mention of Zale (Band), Zale (moth), Zahle, and Žale at the top of that page.

Zale Corporation is commonly referred to as Zale (this can be confirmed in numerous news reports), and while it's official name is Zale Corporation, its nickname Zale seems overwhelmingly better known than the Romanian band, about which I could find no English-language articles. The reverse may be true in Romania, but for en.wikipedia.com, I think the English-language usage should take precedence.

An alternative approach would be to name this "Zale (band)," and create a disambiguation page under the title "Zale." However, there is little to disambiguate, and I think the overwhelmingly common usage of "Zale" is in reference to Zale Corp.

Feedback, even if just "oppose" or "agree," would be appreciated.

I agree. Ask the average person to tell you what "Zale" is and they'll talk about "Zales: The Diamond Store", the mall jewelry chain. Ask anyone in the jewelry industry and they'll talk about Zale Corporation. Malachite84 01:54, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
