Schelling did not direct the Young People's Concerts until 1958. Scelling died in 1939. I don't know who succeeded him but Wilfrid Pelletier conducted the series before Bernstein inherited it in 1958.

Split proposal[edit]

Proposing that the CBS television series be split off into its own article. Most of this article already deals with it, not the concert series.
