The other article that this is disambiguating from is 2020 China League Two. It does exist, and likely will continue to exist. It lists a Xu Bin as a top-scoring footballer in the league in 2020. — BarrelProof (talk) 23:29, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@BarrelProof: For as long as the other Xu Bin (Xu Bin (footballer, born 1989)) doesn't have an article on English Wikipedia, I believe Xu Bin (footballer, born 2004) should use the title Xu Bin (footballer) instead, as there's nothing to disambiguate against, it's perfectly fine to leave the other redlinked as Xu Bin (footballer, born 1989), while the 2004-born footballer gets to have Xu Bin (footballer) as its title, as they're the only footballer on English Wikipedia with an article. Per the very first sentence of WP:DAB, disambiguation is for topics, including subtopics discussed an an article that is primarily about something else. As long as a topic is discussed on Wikipedia, it should be considered for disambiguation. — BarrelProof (talk) 18:41, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Such titles exist, but there is a relatively small number of them, and they tend to be somewhat controversial. — BarrelProof (talk) 01:37, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support - I don't see evidence that the other Xu Bin meets notability guidelines, and being listed as a scorer in a wider page about a whole football division doesn't make him notable per se. This footballer, who's represented China at various international levels, is clearly the most notable footballer of this name by a considerable margin, which would also make him eligible for Thriller (album) style primary disambiguation, even if it could be shown that the other dude is notable. — Amakuru (talk) 09:53, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Support - unnecessary disambiguation. GiantSnowman 21:32, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support as only one footballer of this name has an article right now. If in future the other one becomes notable enough for an article, then this can always be changed then, but right now, this move is sensible. Joseph2302 (talk) 09:42, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
