Nonsense[edit]

What is this sentence and who is the author of it? I pasted it here for lack of better ideas with what to do with it. I attempted to rewrite it but the latter part is totally nonsensical.

"An example is the Generic Address Generator (GAG), which is a generalization of the DMA"??

The systolic array defined by various mainly mathematicians in 1980s, defined the data path aspect of the Xputer, but did not define the data sequencer methodology. The data sequencing aspect of the Xputer is modelled as distributed memory, which consists of auto-sequencing memory (ASM) blocks. Each ASM block has a sequencer including a data counter. An example is the Generic Address Generator (GAG), which is a generalization of the DMA.
